Layout Guidelines
Below is a comprehensive guide to creating your layout at The Rickhouse! We suggest working closely with your caterers and planner to expertly layout your event.

(20) 8’ x 30” tables | seats 8 people comfortably, no seating on the ends
(10) 6’ x 30” tables | seats 3 comfortably, no seating on the end
(10) 30” diameter cocktail tables

(200) chairs
(2) bar fronts | for The Rickhouse use only
(1) coat rack with (50) hangers
For the Kids: (2) high chairs | (2) booster seats
Please observe these general rules of thumb
Floor length linens on all tables are required (APR linen sizing chart) | Linens not required on the (3) farm tables
If more than 200 chairs are needed, similar ones can be rented HERE
Label all table sizes and use (example, 6’ Stationed Hors d’oeuvres)
Label any activities around the room, and the size space needed (example: photo booth 10’x10’).
Other items to label: gift, guestbook, cake/desserts, rental tables/items).
If the event is a Ceremony and Reception, have a layout for each.
Our farm tables are beautiful as head tables, food stations, cake and desserts, place cards/welcome table .
If power needs for the event are substantial (more than 4 dedicated circuits), this may affect the layout. Speak to your contact at The Rickhouse to make arrangements.
Clients have access to the countertops along the wood wall (our Alcoves). They work great for beverage stations, gift station, guest book, photos, awards, décor or back table for a food action station.
The cabinets under the alcoves are for Rickhouse use only and should not be accessed by anyone but Rickhouse staff.
Alcoves
Food Service
The ideal locations for buffet are in front of the alcoves, and on either side of the room (Foster St. side and Ballpark side)
Any of our tables may be used for food service in the space ONLY, including the farm tables. Flame from chafers or burners must be properly elevated above the table and not directly on it.
(2) plastic prep tables are provided in the staging area, all other prep tables must be rented. Please plan this ahead of time, as tables will not be available for prep use on the day of the event.
Be sure table numbers and chair counts are accurate (note: this is a setting on allseated.com)
You are welcome to use round and rectangular tables for seating!
Keep at least 6ft from table to table and avoid blocking main doors, bar lanes and high traffic areas
Avoid placing tables on or too close to the I-beams on the perimeter of the dance floor.
60” rounds fit perfectly between the I-beams
Tables can be placed ON or straddling the dance floor
Seated Dining Tables
Our farm tables can be put end to end. As many as 6 seats on each side and one on either end. Seating can be wrapped around all the way or most of the way around, allowing for open space in front of the guests of honor. If using them on the distillery side, place the tables ON the dance floor and not behind the I-beam on the concrete area.
If a round table smaller than 60” is needed, it should be rented.
Use a cocktail table with rented stools!
Head Table / Newlywed Table
The star wall (in front of the private suite) is the perfect location for a bar, We ask that this is the primary bar location unless otherwise discussed.
If glassware is being rented, put an 8’ side bar table next to each bar (and be sure to include a linen!).
Two bar locations for 150 guests or more. Speak to your contact at The Rickhouse for special requests as this affects staffing.
If one bar is located outside, an inside area will be designated on a rain plan layout.
Allow for at least a 15x15 area for each bar location, plus room for a small line.
Bar Notes
Allocate approximately a 20x20 space on our built in dance floor for dancing Note: a dance floor does NOT need to be rented!
Avoid placing tables on or too close to the I-beams on the perimeter of the dance floor.
60” rounds fit perfectly between the I-beams.
Tables can be placed ON or straddling the dance floor.
The DJ should be placed along the glass distillery wall so they have access to power and house sound hook up.
Dance Floor
Placing tables too close together, there should be 6ft between tables, and plenty of space should be left around buffets, being double sided if possible. Tables should be further from doors and lanes of traffic.
Using the Alcoves for buffets.
